How Much Does a Corporate Event Cost in Singapore? [2026 Guide] | HatchEvent

Planning a corporate event in Singapore usually starts with one important question:

How much should we budget?

The answer depends heavily on what you are organising.

A small team-building session, a 100-person corporate dinner and a large-scale Dinner & Dance (D&D) can have completely different cost structures. Venue choice, guest count, food and beverage, AV requirements, entertainment and the level of customisation can all significantly affect the final quotation.

Rather than relying on a single “average corporate event cost”, it is more useful to understand where the money goes and what each component may cost.

In this 2026 guide, we break down some of the major corporate event expenses in Singapore using publicly available pricing and market benchmarks to help you build a more realistic starting budget.

Pricing note: Prices in this guide are indicative planning references based on publicly available Singapore pricing reviewed by HatchEvent in September 2026. Actual quotations will vary according to event requirements, date, location, availability and service provider. Prices may also be subject to GST, service charges and other fees.

So, How Much Does a Corporate Event Cost in Singapore?

There is no single meaningful average that applies to every corporate event.

For example, current published prices show just how different event formats can be:

  • Simple catered office events can start well below S$100 per person.
  • Standard half-day team-building programmes commonly fall around S$45–S$90 per person before premium upgrades.
  • A corporate meeting package at a hotel can start around S$100 per person.
  • A hotel Dinner & Dance package can start around S$129++ per person for F&B, before additional entertainment, production, photography, décor and other requirements are added.

Current Carlton Hotel Singapore packages, for example, list corporate meetings from S$100 per person and its 2026 Corporate Dinner & Dance package from S$1,288++ per table of 10.

The best way to create a realistic event budget is therefore to estimate each major component individually.

What Are the Main Corporate Event Expenses?

A corporate event budget will commonly include some combination of:

Cost Area What It May Include
Venue Function room, ballroom, restaurant or event space
Food & Beverage Buffet, banquet, canapés, beverages
AV & Production Sound, microphones, screens, lighting, staging
Entertainment Emcee, DJ, band, performers, activities
Photography & Video Event coverage and post-production
Décor & Branding Backdrops, signage, florals, themed installations
Event Management Planning, coordination and event-day support
Miscellaneous Gifts, transport, printing, permits and other expenses
Contingency Unexpected or last-minute costs

1. How Much Does an Event Venue Cost in Singapore?

Venue costs vary significantly because event spaces use different pricing models.

You may encounter:

Hourly rental
You pay according to how many hours you use the space.

Half-day or full-day rental
The venue charges a fixed amount for a particular session.

Minimum spend
Common with restaurants, bars and other F&B-led venues. Instead of paying only for the space, you commit to spending a minimum amount on food and drinks.

Per-person packages
Common with hotels and some event venues, where venue use, F&B and selected equipment may be bundled together.

For a useful public-sector reference, the Urban Redevelopment Authority’s Function Room, which accommodates up to 120 people standing, is currently S$109 per hour including GST, with a three-hour minimum.

Its 200-person Function Hall is S$218 per hour including GST.

At the other end, larger dedicated event spaces can cost several thousand dollars per session. Seletar Country Club’s published 2026 corporate/private rates, for example, list approximately S$1,918 for four hours for selected smaller function rooms and S$5,395.50 for four hours for its ballroom. These rates include service charge and GST.

Don’t compare venues based on rental price alone

Before deciding which venue offers better value, check whether the quotation includes:

  • Tables and chairs
  • Projector or screen
  • Microphones
  • Sound system
  • Basic lighting
  • Wi-Fi
  • Event staffing
  • Setup and teardown time
  • Cleaning
  • Food and beverage

A venue with a higher headline price may ultimately cost less if equipment and services you would otherwise need to source separately are already included.

2. How Much Does Corporate Catering Cost in Singapore?

Food and beverage is easier to benchmark because many Singapore caterers publish their menus and per-person prices.

Current 2026 market guides suggest approximately:

Catering Format Indicative Price
Bento / simple meals S$8–S$24 per pax
Standard buffet S$18–S$32 per pax
Premium buffet S$32–S$55+ per pax
Live stations Additional charges apply

Four Seasons Catering’s May 2026 guide puts budget catering at around S$10–S$18 per person, standard at S$18–S$32 and premium at S$32–S$60+. Its actual current buffet menus range from S$15.80 to S$38.80 per person before GST, depending on the menu.

Example: Catering for 100 People

If you select a buffet costing S$30 per person:

100 guests × S$30 = S$3,000

However, don’t automatically assume S$3,000 will be the final bill.

Check whether the quotation includes:

  • Delivery
  • Buffet setup
  • Tables and warmers
  • Service staff
  • Drinks
  • Collection
  • Additional equipment
  • GST
  • Location or timing surcharges

These seemingly smaller charges can change the final cost.

3. How Much Does a Corporate Dinner & Dance Cost?

Dinner & Dance costs are particularly difficult to reduce to one figure because there is a difference between the banquet package and the entire event.

For example, Carlton Hotel Singapore’s current 2026 Corporate Dinner & Dance package starts from:

S$1,288++ per table of 10

That works out to approximately:

S$128.80++ per person

with a minimum booking of 10 tables.

But that doesn’t necessarily represent your entire D&D budget.

You may still choose to add:

  • Professional emcee
  • Live band or DJ
  • Stage production
  • LED wall
  • Additional lighting
  • Photography and videography
  • Event theme and décor
  • Photo booth
  • Performances
  • Games and activities
  • Door gifts
  • Lucky draw prizes

Therefore, when someone says a D&D “costs S$150 per person” or “S$300 per person”, it is important to ask:

What exactly is included?

4. How Much Does Team Building Cost in Singapore?

Team-building costs depend heavily on whether you’re buying an activity only or an entire managed programme.

Current published 2026 Singapore benchmarks put:

Format Indicative Price
Simple/in-office activity From around S$25 per pax
Standard half-day programme Around S$45–S$90 per pax
Premium/full-day programme Around S$100–S$180 per pax
Retreat/offsite Around S$200–S$250+ per pax

These ranges can include very different things, so always check the scope.

For example, some activity-only prices start around S$25 per person, while packages incorporating an external venue, catering, multiple activities and facilitators naturally cost more.

For a 60-person team, a S$75-per-person programme would represent a working budget of:

60 × S$75 = S$4,500

Again, that’s an illustration based on a published market benchmark, not a quotation.

5. How Much Does a Corporate Event Emcee Cost?

A professional emcee can be particularly valuable for Dinner & Dance events, award ceremonies, product launches and other programme-heavy corporate events.

Current published Singapore rates indicate approximately:

Emcee Type Indicative Range
Standard Corporate Emcee S$800 to S$1,200
Bilingual corporate emcee S$1,200–S$1,800
Senior/gala emcee S$1,500–S$2,500
Celebrity/high-profile host S$2,000–S$3,000

Pricing can vary according to experience, event duration, language requirements, scripting, rehearsals and the complexity of the programme.

For corporate events, price shouldn’t be the only consideration.

An experienced emcee is also responsible for maintaining programme flow, engaging the audience, handling transitions and responding when the event doesn’t go exactly according to plan.

6. How Much Does Event Photography Cost?

Professional corporate event photographers in Singapore commonly charge according to coverage time.

Current published 2026 benchmarks include:

Photography Coverage Indicative Price
Hourly S$150–S$350/hour
Half-day / approximately 4 hours S$600–S$1,200
Full-day / approximately 8 hours S$1,000–S$2,200

These ranges are based on published Singapore corporate event photography benchmarks.

When comparing photographers, check:

  • Number of photographers
  • Coverage duration
  • Number of edited photographs
  • Editing style
  • Turnaround time
  • Usage rights
  • Whether express delivery is required

Videography should generally be budgeted separately because the scope can vary substantially depending on filming and editing requirements.

7. What About AV, Entertainment and Décor?

This is where I would avoid giving readers a single price range.

Why?

Because an “AV package” could mean two wireless microphones and a projector — or an LED wall, professional lighting, staging, technical crew, multi-camera production and livestreaming.

Likewise, “entertainment” could mean a DJ, live band, roaming performer, photo booth or elaborate show production.

Instead, get quotations based on your actual event requirements.

For AV, provide:

  • Guest count
  • Venue
  • Stage dimensions
  • Number of microphones
  • Screen/LED requirements
  • Lighting requirements
  • Event programme
  • Performances
  • Presentation requirements
  • Livestream requirements
  •

The more detailed your brief, the more meaningful your quotation will be.

What Can Make a Corporate Event More Expensive?

Even events with identical guest counts can have very different final costs.

Venue Type

A simple function room and a five-star hotel ballroom operate at very different price points.

Guest Count

More guests generally mean more food, beverages, furniture and staffing.

Food & Beverage Format

A simple buffet will usually cost less than a formal multi-course banquet.

Production Requirements

LED walls, staging, professional lighting, livestreaming and complex sound requirements can quickly increase costs.

Entertainment

Adding an emcee, DJ, live band or other performers changes the budget.

Customisation

Bespoke décor, branded installations, custom-built sets and elaborate themes require additional design, production and manpower.

Event Date and Timing

Availability and pricing may vary for popular dates, peak periods and events requiring unusual setup or teardown hours.

Hidden Costs to Check Before Confirming a Quotation

The headline quotation isn’t always the final amount you will pay.

Look out for:

GST and service charge
Always establish whether the quotation is nett, subject to GST, or subject to service charge and GST.

Minimum spending requirements
Some venues require a minimum F&B spend or minimum number of tables.

Overtime
Additional venue or manpower hours may be chargeable.

Setup and teardown
Check whether your booked hours include setup and dismantling.

Delivery
Catering, décor, equipment and other services may have separate delivery charges.

Additional manpower
Technicians, service staff, setup crews and operators may be charged separately.

Corkage
Some venues charge if you bring your own wine or spirits.

Last-minute changes
Changes to guest count, programme or equipment close to the event date may incur additional charges.

How Much Contingency Should You Keep?

A useful planning approach is to keep approximately 5–10% of your event budget as contingency.

For example:

If your working event budget is S$20,000, a 10% contingency would be:

S$2,000

giving you an overall budget ceiling of approximately:

S$22,000

This doesn’t mean you should aim to spend the contingency.

It simply gives you room to deal with additional requirements or unexpected costs without immediately exceeding the approved budget.

How Can You Reduce Corporate Event Costs Without Making the Event Feel Cheap?

The objective shouldn’t simply be to choose the cheapest option.

Instead, determine which parts of the event matter most to the guest experience.

Compare the scope, not just the final price

A S$4,000 quotation isn’t necessarily cheaper than a S$5,000 quotation if the second option includes equipment, staffing and services that you’ll otherwise need to purchase separately.

Use what’s already included

If your venue already provides a projector, microphones and sound system, determine whether you actually need to hire an external AV setup.

Right-size your venue

Don’t pay for a significantly larger space unless the event format requires it.

Prioritise the guest experience

Spend on the elements your attendees will actually experience.

For a networking event, that may be good F&B and an appropriate venue.

For an awards ceremony, reliable AV, staging and a capable emcee may be more important.

Request more than one quotation

Comparing suitable providers helps you understand what is included and what options are available within your budget.

How Should You Compare Event Quotations?

Don’t compare only the number at the bottom of the quotation.

Compare Ask Yourself
Scope Are both providers quoting for the same requirements?
Inclusions What is already included?
Exclusions What will cost extra?
Experience Have they handled similar corporate events?
Portfolio Does their previous work match what you need?
Responsiveness Are they easy to communicate with?
Payment terms When are deposits and balances due?
Cancellation What happens if plans change?
Additional charges Are overtime, delivery and manpower clearly stated?

This is particularly important when two quotations have very different prices.

7. What About AV, Entertainment and Décor?

How much does a corporate event cost in Singapore?

There isn’t one reliable average that applies to every corporate event. Costs vary significantly depending on guest count, venue, F&B, AV, entertainment and event format.

For example, a simple catered office event may cost below S$100 per guest, while hotel events and production-heavy corporate functions can cost substantially more.

Start by determining what the event needs rather than choosing an arbitrary per-person figure.

Current Singapore pricing shows standard buffet catering around S$18–S$32 per person, standard half-day team building around S$45–S$90 per person, and some hotel corporate meeting packages starting around S$100 per person. These figures cover different scopes and should not be directly compared as complete event costs.

How much does a 100-person corporate event cost in Singapore?

There is no reliable single answer.

A 100-person catered office event can be significantly cheaper than a 100-person hotel D&D with professional AV, entertainment, photography and décor.

Instead of using one generic figure, calculate:

Venue + F&B + AV + entertainment + photography/video + décor + other services + contingency

Venue and F&B can account for a significant part of many event budgets. However, production can also become a major expense for conferences, product launches, award ceremonies and other events requiring professional staging and AV.

Providing a realistic budget or budget range can help providers recommend suitable options.

It also reduces the likelihood of receiving proposals that are far above or below what you are prepared to spend.

Not always.

For example, URA publishes facility rates inclusive of GST, while Carlton Hotel’s D&D package is quoted “++”, meaning service charge and prevailing government taxes are additional.

Always check before comparing quotations.

January to March and July to August. Venues discount to fill off-peak dates. November and December are the most expensive and the hardest to book.

S$150–S$300 per pax at a hotel ballroom, or S$100–S$150 per pax at a restaurant or club venue. For 150 guests, budget S$25,000–S$45,000 depending on production level.

Plan Your Corporate Event Budget With Better Information

There is no perfect formula for calculating the cost of every corporate event in Singapore.

The better approach is to start with your:

event objective → guest count → requirements → budget → suitable service providers

Then compare quotations based on value and scope, not price alone.

Knowing what different event components can cost gives you a much stronger starting point — but the final budget should always be based on quotations for your actual event.
